Optical Construction

To reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing for improved clarity and color neutrality, the 24mm f/1.8 AF lens employs three extra-low dispersion elements, two high-refraction elements, and two aspherical elements.An 11-blade diaphragm helps create pleasing background blur in the out-of-focus areas of your frame, creating a more flattering overall image. This, along with the lens's bright f/1.8 maximum aperture, provides more precise control over your depth of field, allowing you to more easily isolate your subjects.
