JOBY WAVO POD Overview

Start podcasting, recording, or live streaming the easy way with the JOBY Wavo POD, a desktop USB microphone specifically designed to deliver high-quality audio and an intuitive, hassle-free experience. Not only does it have a large-diaphragm condenser capsule like traditional studio vocal mics, but it also offers two different pickup patterns that allow you to either capture sound from all around or focus on what's in front of the mic. This makes the Wavo POD friendly for solo work, interviews, meetings, and more.

Thanks to its plug-and-play simplicity, 24-bit / 48 kHz digital resolution, and two USB cables (for USB Type-C and USB Type-A ports), this mic can work out of the box with Mac/Windows computers and USB Type-C mobile devices while providing the competitive caliber of vocal tone. It also includes a pop filter to tame strong "P" sounds and an innovative mounting system, which supports desktop placement, stand/boom mounting, and attachment of 1/4"-20 threaded accessories such as a phone holder.

Large-Diaphragm Condenser Sound

Like many studio recording microphones, the Wavo POD incorporates a large-diaphragm condenser capsule to deliver a warm, yet clean vocal sound.

Two Pickup Patterns

Use cardioid mode to record with a directional polar pattern that primarily picks up sound in front of the mic and reduces background noise behind it. Switch to omni when you need to capture sound all around the mic—interviews or podcasting with guests gathered around the mic.

Easy Sound Control

Thanks to a zero-latency 3.5mm headphone monitoring jack, onboard volume and gain adjustment, and a one-click integrated mute function, your sound is always easy to control.

Versatile Desk Stand

The Wavo POD's mounting system makes your workflow adaptable. The desk stand is removable so it can be fitted to a tripod support, and the microphone body is compatible with both 3/8" and 5/8" threads with the included adapter. You can further customize your rig via the side 1/4"-20 mounts that pair perfectly with the JOBY range of accessories.

Pop Filter Included

Included with the Wavo POD is a red pop filter, which lessens the intensity of strong plosives from "P" sounds and results in a more professional vocal.
