Opening up an array of creative possibilities, the Metal Cold Shoe Smartphone Mount from SmallRig can do much more than simply mount your phone to an optional tripod. Its cold shoe base allows you to attach it to the top of a DSLR to use your phone as an external monitor. It can also be used to add a second phone to a smartphone cage or rig, letting you shoot a video from a different angle or social-media-friendly aspect ratio. The mount's spring-loaded clamp can accommodate a phone from 2.3 to 3.3" wide and incorporates a precision-fit hinge for smooth 180° tilt and 360° rotation adjustment.

A cold shoe connection doesn't go to waste when using this smartphone mount. It features a cold shoe of its own on one end, and a 1/4"-20 connection on the other.
